๐ 2025 | Google UX Design Certification
๐ฏ Executive Summary:
Designed an end-to-end mobile health and wellness experience as a Google UX Design Professional Certificate case study. Applied user research, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, accessibility, and usability testing to create intuitive pathways to essential wellness tools. The project focused on reducing cognitive load and creating a clear, accessible interface for users navigating the experience during moments of stress.
๐ The Challenge:
The design challenge centered on creating a health and wellness experience that remained simple and intuitive during moments of stress. Complex navigation, excessive cognitive load, and unclear information hierarchy could make it harder for users to quickly reach the tools they need. The experience needed to balance functionality with clarity, accessibility, and ease of use.
โ๏ธ The Strategy:
-
Applied User-Centered Research: Conducted foundational research, developed empathy maps and user personas, and mapped user journeys to identify user needs, behaviors, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
-
Developed Wireframes & Interactive Prototypes: Progressed from low-fidelity paper wireframes to high-fidelity interactive prototypes, using iterative usability studies to validate and refine design decisions.
-
Designed for Reduced Cognitive Load: Applied simplified layouts, clear visual hierarchy, concise content, and intentional interaction patterns to make essential features easier to understand and access.
-
Optimized Mobile Information Architecture: Streamlined navigation and prioritized key user pathways so essential wellness features could be reached quickly with minimal interaction.
-
Created a Scalable Visual Design System: Established consistent typography, spacing, components, and interaction patterns to create a cohesive experience and support future expansion.
-
Integrated Accessibility: Evaluated color contrast, readability, visual hierarchy, and interface patterns against WCAG guidance to support a more inclusive mobile experience.
